أعلنت «مينا ايروسبيس» المعنية بتأجير وإدارة الطائرات، ومجموعة «آسيا كارغو نتورك» ومقرّها سنغافورة، عن توقيع تحالف استراتيجي كبير بينهما، يهدف إلى ترسيخ مكانة شركة الطيران البحرينية لتصبح واحدة من أهم شركات شحن البضائع في جنوب آسيا والشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا.
وقد تم توقيع اتفاقية الشراكة المهمة للشحن في معرض البحرين الدولي للطيران من قبل الدكتور محمد جمعان، المؤسس والعضو المنتدب لشركة «مينا أيروسبيس»، والسيد ماركو إسحاق، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة «آسيا كارغو نتورك». وبموجب الاتفاقية، ستكون البحرين ودول مجلس التعاون الخليجي مركزًا لـ6 طائرات شحن تابعة للشركة السنغافورية للانطلاق منها بهدف توسيع خدماتها في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا وتعزيز مسارات الشحن من وإلى المنطقة. وستنقل المجموعة طائراتها الست، والتي تشمل بوينغ 737-800F و767-300F، خلال الـ18 شهرًا المقبلة، مع وصول أولى هذه الطائرات في غضون الشهرين المقبلين للبدء الفوري لعملياتها. وستعمل طائرات المجموعة وطائرة الشحن الحالية التابعة لشركة «إم أيه إي» من طراز بوينغ 737-300، على توسيع الأسطول التشغيلي داخل المنطقة.
[English Translation] MENA Aerospace, an aircraft leasing and management company, and the Singapore-based Asia Cargo Network Group announced the signing of a major strategic alliance between them, which aims to consolidate the position of the Bahraini airline to become one of the most important freight forwarding companies in South Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
The important partnership agreement for cargo was signed at the Bahrain International Airshow by Dr. Mohammed Jamaan, Founder and Managing Director of MENA Aerospace, and Mr. Marco Isaac, Group CEO of Asia Cargo Network. Under the agreement, Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries will be a hub for 6 cargo planes belonging to the Singaporean company from which to launch, with the aim of expanding its services in the Middle East and North Africa region and enhancing freight routes to and from the region. The group will fly its six aircraft, which include the Boeing 737-800F and 767-300F, over the next 18 months, with the first of these aircraft arriving within the next two months for the immediate commencement of operations. The group’s aircraft and the existing MAE freighter, Boeing 737-300, will expand the regional operational fleet.
